McCain attends midnight rally in PrescottPosted: Updated:
PRESCOTT -- Sen. John McCain will close out his nearly two-year-long campaign for president late Monday with a rally on the steps of the historic Yavapai County courthouse in Prescott.
The Republican candidate is on a final blitz through battleground states. Monday's stops include Florida, Tennessee, Pennsylvania, Indiana, New Mexico, Colorado and Nevada.
He'll end the day in Prescott, where supporters will gather at the courthouse -- a historic spot for Arizonans on national campaigns. Gates will open for ticketholders at 9 p.m. and McCain's campaign says the festivities will start at 11 p.m. Country singer Hank Williams Jr. is set to perform before McCain appears at about midnight.
Tickets are available at the GOP offices in Coconino, Yavapai and Pima counties, or at McCain's Phoenix headquarters at 16th Street and Missouri Avenue.
McCain's Election Night headquarters is the Arizona Biltmore resort in Phoenix.
