PHOENIX -- The grades are in and a few more Arizona schools are failing to meet state standards.

According to the Arizona Learns report, 20 schools are not reaching the Arizona academic standards.

That's up from 17 last year.

Reportedly the 20 schools that mainly serve low-income children could possibly face state action.

But the Arizona superintendent says takeovers are unlikely.

Most schools reached the state benchmarks, including 321 schools that were deemed to be "excelling."
