PHOENIX - County Attorney Andrew Thomas announced today that James Wallace Galloway, 52 (DOB 1/18/56), has been found guilty on 43 counts related to the sexual abuse and molestation of minor children and furnishing obscene material to the same. Additional charges concerned public sexual indecency.

Galloway is subject to a prison term that will exceed a total of 700 years when he is sentenced on September 5, 2008.

Galloway, who moved from Phoenix to Havetown, Pennsylvania, in late summer 2003, was arrested by Havetown police on August 19, 2004. He was extradited to Arizona on September 7, 2004 and a Maricopa County grand jury returned a 48-count indictment.

The document cites crimes committed between August 1, 2001 and August 30, 2003. The victims, both females, were 10 and 11 years-old when the abuses began.

"Children need to be protected from the vicious acts of sexual predators like this defendant," said Thomas. "I am very pleased he will never again walk the streets a free man."
