State Fair act goes wrong - man run over by truck performing actPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX -- The following is a press release from the Department of Public Safety:
At about 6:17 p.m. Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS) officers assigned to the State Fair and DPS Officer / Paramedics responded when a man was injured during a State Fair Contractor Act of the "Human Speed Bump".
The act had an equipment failure when the last or eighth vehicle, a box truck ran over the actor causing injuries to his lower body and extremities.
The man was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The State Fair Contractor Act was attempting to break the Guinness Book of World Records in being run over by more vehicles than the current world record of seven vehicles.
It was reported to DPS that despite the equipment failure the man still succeeded in breaking the record.
DPS Officers are investigating the incident at this time.
