Woman treated for burns, smoke inhalation after fire - A Surprise woman is hospitalized after a trailer fire Monday morning.
SURPRISE -- A Valley woman is hospitalized after a trailer fire in the West Valley.
Fire crews were called to the scene on Sierra Dawn Boulevard near 115th Avenue and Bell Road.
Crews on the scene say they were called to the trailer after 7:30 a.m. Monday with reports of smoke.
Neighbors tried to keep the fire under control with a garden hose until emergency crews were able to get there.
The 58-year-old woman who lived inside is being treated for smoke inhalation at a Valley hospital.
Her cat was found dead inside.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
