Motorcyclist hits head after being thrown from bike

Man listed in critical condition

SCOTTSDALE - A man is in critical condition after a motorcycle wreck in Scottsdale.

Police say they responded to a single vehicle collision at about 8 p.m. on Monday in the intersection of 90th Street and Shea Blvd.

The 52-year-old motorcyclist was reportedly traveling north on 90th Street. As he attempted to turn left onto westbound Shea he struck the median and lost control of his bike.

The man, who was not wearing a helmet, was thrown from the motorcycle and struck his head.

He was taken to Scottsdale Osborn where he is listed in critical condition.
