Police searching for suspects in deadly Phx. apartment shootingPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX -- Police were called to a deadly shooting at an apartment complex near 27th Street and Indian School Road Thursday morning.
It happened just before 8 a.m.
Investigators on the scene said officers found a 46-year-old black man shot and killed lying on the floor of an apartment.
Police said they are looking for two suspects. The only description they've released is that the suspects are black men in their early 20s. Both were wearing long black shorts and black do-rags. One had one a red T-shirt and the other had on a black T-shirt.
Early reports indicated that the incident might have been a home invasion, but police said that is not the case. They also said there was no forced entry and nothing appeared to have been taken, which leads them to believe that this was not a robbery.
Neighbors told police that they heard arguing and the sounds of glass breaking not long before gunshots rang out. They then saw the suspects running away from the area.
