Congressman tours health-plagued high schoolPosted: Updated:
TEMPE -- Arizona Congressman Harry Mitchell toured Corona del Sol High School Thursday morning, getting a firsthand look at renovations.
The renovation project began over the summer.
One of the largest projects is an upgrade on the ventilation system.
Parents and staffers were upset after high levels of carbon dioxide began making students and teachers sick.
Mitchell, who used to be a school teacher, lobbied Congress to amend a bill that would provide $20 billion in federal grants to help public schools like Corona.
