Late night shooting kills teen
PHOENIX (AP) -- Phoenix police are investigating an Easter Sunday homicide. The victim is an 18-year-old woman.
Police say they were called to a residence in south Phoenix around 1:30 a.m. on a shots fired report. Police found the victim lying on the ground with an apparent gunshot wound to the chest.
The victim later died at the scene.
The investigation revealed that several people had been attending a party at the residence when a large fight started. According to witnesses, several gunshots were fired and the victim, who was just arriving at the party, was struck.
There are no suspects and police are asking that anyone with information call Silent Witness.
