Arizona surgeon wanted for murder arrested in KentuckyPosted: Updated:
HEBRON, Ky. -- Officials say an Arizona cosmetic surgeon charged with murder has been arrested after landing at the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport.
Dr. Peter James Normann, 47, was arrested by U.S. Customs and Border Patrol agents Wednesday, The Kentucky Enquirer reported Friday on its Web site.
Normann was being held in jail until he can be sent back to Arizona.
He was indicted in Phoenix Oct. 17 on two counts of second-degree murder and one count of manslaughter.
Prosecutors claim that three of his patients died of cardiac arrest after liposuction procedures performed in his office.
A year ago, the Arizona Medical Board found Normann performed two of the surgeries, but allowed an unlicensed doctor to do the third. It revoked his medical license.
