CHINO VALLEY - The following is a press release from the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office:

On October 5, 2008, the Chino Valley Police Department completed a report involving the theft of a 2007 GMC Denali SUV. The burned remains of this vehicle were found by a quad rider on October 8th and reported to YCSO. The vehicle had been located off of Perkinsville Road and Forest Service Road 164 in the Prescott National Forest.

YCSO Detective Dave Zavos, who is a member of the Arizona Vehicle Theft Task Force, was called to investigate. Detective Zavos was able to verify vehicle identification information and confirm the vehicle's stolen status. Zavos also discovered that the Denali's 4 wheels and rims had been stolen. They are described as follows:

Wheels - "Yokohama Parada," size 285/45R-22

Rim - "Liquid Metal Wheel" brand, "Turbine" model, 22" rim size (sample photo below)

The value on this set of rims is 2000.00. It is likely these rims might still be in the Chino Valley or Prescott area. If anyone has information as to the whereabouts of these rims, or persons involved in the theft, please contact Detective Zavos at 928-777-7275, the Chino Valley Police Department at 636-4223, or Yavapai Silent Witness at 800-932-3232.
