Goggled Stoudemire returns to Suns training campPosted: Updated:
TUCSON -- Amare Stoudemire is expected to don goggles when he returns today to the Phoenix Suns' training camp in Tucson.
Stoudemire was poked in the right eye by Boris Diaw during Wednesday night's scrimmage and suffered a torn iris. He left camp and underwent treatment yesterday in Phoenix.
Suns general manager Steve Kerr says the injury is not serious and there is no damage to the cornea or retina.
Stoudemire is expected to be able to return to action wearing goggles today.
The Suns have a 5 p.m. public scrimmage at McKale Center on the University of Arizona campus.
Stoudemire had knee troubles in the Suns' previous two Tucson camps.
