D.P.S. reopens northbound US 93 after snowy conditionsPosted: Updated:
UPDATE 12/18: The northbound lanes of the US 93 have reopened. There is still snow on the ground, so drivers should still use caution when traveling the roadway.
ORIGINAL: PHOENIX (AP) -- The Department of Public Safety Wednesday evening closed northbound US 93, the main route to Las Vegas, due to hazardous road conditions.
The closure is approximately 7 miles north of Kingman where 93 meets State Route 68, the Laughlin turnoff.
DPS says the closure is due to snow and icy road conditions which has resulted in numerous slideoffs.
