UNCUT: Good Samaritan rescues man from canal - A homeless man talks about rescuing a wheelchair-bound man who fell into a canal in Phoenix.

PHOENIX -- A man who uses a wheelchair fell in a canal and was rescued by a good Samaritan Friday morning.

A homeless man is being hailed as a hero after he jumped into the canal to rescue the victim.

It happened at 24th Street and Cambridge Avenue, which is just south of Thomas Road.

Greyson Malzac was near the water when he saw someone fall in across the street and get swept under the bridge.

Malzac was able to get him to the side of the canal where he was pulled out and transported to the hospital.

Malzac was able to get the wheelchair out of the canal.
