1 Killed in overnight single-car wreck

PHOENIX -- Police are investigating a deadly single-car wreck in southeast Phoenix.

Police trying to soirt out what happened

According to police, the young man's car veered off the road, slamming into a wall near 26th Street and Southern Avenue.

Police said the initial call came in just after midnight from somebody who saw the taillights and assumed there was a wreck.

When officers arrived on the scene they found a man in 20s dead inside the car. Police said he was by himself.

Police don't know what caused the wreck.

Southern Avenue was closed between 24 and 26th streets while police conducted their investigation.
