Strong winter storm to hit Arizona on MondayPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX -- Another strong winter storm is expected to roll into Arizona on Monday.
The Pacific storm is expected to bring heavy snow and strong, gusty winds that will make for some hazardous driving conditions in parts of the state.
The National Weather Service says the storm will move into Coconino and Yavapai counties Monday evening and spread into central and eastern Arizona by Tuesday morning.
Up to 10 inches of snow is expected to fall in parts of the state.
About an inch of rain is expected in the Phoenix area and other parts of the state, which may result in minor flooding of normally dry washes and creeks.
Weather officials urge Arizonans to stay off the road, but if they must drive to be extra careful.
