PHOENIX -- Two suspects who were involved in a brief standoff after allegedly robbing a home in West Phoenix were taken into custody early Tuesday morning.

Possible attempted kidnapping?

The two were caught near 32nd and Southern avenues.

Investigators said it all started when the two men broke into a different home near 23rd and Southern avenues earlier in the night.

There were also reports of an attempted kidnapping, but police have not confirmed that.

After the burglary, the suspects drove to the second home where there was a short standoff with police.

The homeowners there were allowed to leave unharmed.

Police said one of the suspects gave up quickly.

Nobody was seriously injured.

Investigators said the owner of the burglarized house knew one of the suspects.
