Napolitano aides get senior federal jobsPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX (AP) -- Former Arizona Gov. Janet Napolitano has appointed two of her former senior gubernatorial aides to top posts in the federal agency she now heads.
Napolitano is now the secretary of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. She announced in Washington on Friday that Jan Lesher will be her chief of staff for operations and that Noah Kroloff will be chief of staff for policy.
Lesher was Napolitano's last chief of staff as governor and previously served as the governor's southern Arizona director and then as state Commerce Department director.
Kroloff, who managed Napolitano's 2006 re-election campaign, was most recently a deputy chief of staff in the governor's office. He previously was a senior policy adviser.
