Tempe police trying to identify serial bank robber

Serial bank robber sought by police

TEMPE - The following is a press release from the Tempe Police Department:

The Tempe Police Department is seeking assistance from the public in identifying a bank robber who has struck five times in the last two weeks.

The suspect pictured below is believed to be responsible for five bank robberies in the cities of Tempe, Phoenix & Chandler since August 28, 2008.The suspect enters the bank, approaches one of the teller stations and commits a robbery.The suspect flees by unknown means.

The suspect has been described as a Hispanic male in his late 20s to early 30s, 6'-6'2" tall, average build and short brown hair with a mustache.The suspect typically wears a long sleeve shirt and a baseball hat.

The suspect has threatened violence in the past; however, the suspect has not used violence up to this point.This suspect should be considered dangerous and should not be approached.Anyone with any information on the suspect in these incidents is urged to call the Tempe Police Department at 480-350-8311 or Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.
