Eight arrested for underage drinking, one for graffitiPosted: Updated:
BUCKEYE - The following is a press release from the Buckeye Police Department:
On October 28, 2008 just past midnight, the Buckeye Police Department received a call from a resident near 226th Avenue and Pima Street who said people were painting graffiti on the neighborhood walls. Responding officers found a party going on in a neighborhood garage and several neighborhood walls freshly painted with graffiti. When party goers saw officers coming to the residence, most ran from that location.
Over the next hour, officers located and eventually cited eight people for various charges.Six of the people cited were adults and two were juveniles.
All subjects were Buckeye residents.
Only one of the eight was of legal drinking age, though all eight had consumed alcohol.
Aaran Griffin, 21 years old, was cited for contributing to the delinquency of a minor.Christopher Griffin- (19 y.o.a.), Derek Sleeper (20), and Juan Ramos (18) and two juveniles, 16 and 17 years old, were cited for "minor consumption of alcohol".Sebastian Villareal, 20 years old, was cited for minor consumption of alcohol, criminal damage for graffiti, and arrested for a warrant for failing to pay fines for a conviction of minor consumption of alcohol.
Officers are continuing to investigate this incident.
