Officials probe coyote deaths in Sun City WestPosted: Updated:
SUN CITY -- Arizona Game and Fish officials are investigating a string of at least four coyotes deaths in Sun City West and they believe someone may be poisoning the animals.
Game and Fish law enforcement programs coordinator John Romero says four dead animals were found within days of each other at area golf courses last month. Finding four dead coyotes in such a short period is very unusual and Romero says it is unlikely they died of natural causes because they are such resilient animals.
He says poisoning a wild animal is a misdemeanor and a typical fine runs as much as $1,500, but can go much higher
