BULLHEAD CITY - The following is a press release from the Bullhead City Police Department:
The Bullhead City Police Department arrested 28-year-old Joseph Ken Cotten for his involvement in a recent drive-by shooting.
On May 22nd at approximately 1 p.m., Cotten drove past a residence in the 2100 block of Colorado Boulevard and fire three rounds into the house. One round hit a neighboring house on Santa Maria Avenue. Both houses were occupied at the time but no one was injured. Cotten had also recently threatened one the victims before the shooting.
On Wednesday, June 17th at approximately 7 a.m., the Bullhead City Police Department's S.W.A.T. team executed a search warrant in the 2400 block of Lakeside Drive. Cotten was found lying in his bed with a stolen loaded handgun under his pillow. Police found a total of four guns inside the residence; two were stolen. Cotten is a prohibited possessor of a firearm.
Cotten was arrested for 4 counts of reckless endangerment, 5 counts of misconduct involving weapons, 4 counts of aggravated assault, felony criminal damage, and 2 counts of possession of stolen property.
He was booked into the Mohave County Jail in Kingman on a $525,000 bond.
