MESA - President Barack Obama is scheduled to visit Mesa's Dobson High School Wednesday morning.

Mesa Unified School District Board President Mike Hughes says he is "very" excited that the president is coming to Mesa.

WASHINGTON -- -- The White House says President Barack Obama will outline his plan to help struggling homeowners on Wednesday in Arizona.

Press secretary Robert Gibbs said Friday that the president will detail his ideas in a speech planned for Phoenix.

Gibbs released no other details.

The move comes as part of a package of steps the administration is taking to help the staggering economy. Congress is moving toward final passage of the economic stimulus legislation. The Treasury Department has outlined in broad terms a plan to help stabilize the nation's financial sector.
