Students upset with budget cuts plan protestPosted: Updated:
TUCSON -- Students plan to show their disgust over planned budget cuts released last week by the state legislature.
The cuts amount to $243 million and would immediately be taken away from the state's three universities.
The protests will be at each university campus from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday.
UA students plan to gather in front of the Memorial Student Union to protest cuts that would amount to $103 million.
Protest organizers want students to wear black to signify the death of higher education in Arizona.
