PHOENIX -- The Phoenix Suns have excercised the team option on swingman Alando Tucker for the 2009-2010 season.

In another move Thursday, the Suns waived guard Robert Hite.

Tucker, the Suns' first-round draft pick in 2007, split time as a rookie between the Suns and Albuquerque of the NBA Development League. He averaged 27.7 points and six rebounds in 21 games with Albuquerque.

The 6-foot-6 Tucker, the 29th pick overall, played collegiately at Wisconsin.

Hite averaged 7.7 points in six preseason games for Phoenix. His departure leaves the Suns roster at 13.
