Man caught growing pot at parents house
PHOENIX - A 21-year-old was busted for growing pot in his parent's house.
The bust happened Thursday afternoon near 56th Avenue and McDowell. Investigators found 15 pot plants growing in water inside a closet.
Police say the crop could net up to $100,000 a year in profits. Law enforcement are seeing more hydroponic grow operations, which yield a much more potent drug.
Department of Public Safety spokesperson Robert Baily says, " It's not just the stuff out of Mexico, it's a lot more serious product."
The 21-year old now faces serious felony charges.
