PHOENIX - Now that the rain has stopped it is time to get your holiday visitors out of the house and into our famous Arizona sun.
There is no shortage of places to take visitors who are longing to sample our sunny winter days and if you can get off work, you need to join them.
Every holiday and Fiesta Bowl season you can see the same thing: The summit trail at Piestewa Peak crawling with out-of-towners.
Andrew Maurer decided this was the perfect place to bring his visiting relatives now that the rain has stopped. "It's great, it's fungood exercise," he says.
Because so many want a taste of Piestewa fun in the sun, there is a wait to get a parking spot.
Another sunny spot in post-rain demand is the city's Palo Verde Golf Course.
Nick and Lisa Olivas left the snow for this and some non-Fiesta Bowl football. "We came here just to play golf and to go to the Cardinals game, of course," explains Lisa.
One of the Valley's best sunny day destinations is the Desert Botanical Garden.
This holiday season, the gardens vast menu of desert plants has a special visitor of its own, the chihuly glass exhibit.
A magical garden, a chance to work off your golfing rust and a hefty hike are opportunities to get friends and family off your sofa and out in the sun.
