Man jumps counter demanding Oxycontin with box cutterPosted: Updated:

APACHE JUNCTION - The Apache Junction Police Department and Silent Witness are asking for assistance in identifying an outstanding robbery suspect.This crime occurred on October 5th, at 11:30 a.m. at the CVS Pharmacy at 325 W. Apache Trail in Apache Junction.
The suspect walked in to the store, went to the pharmaceutical department, jumped over the counter and threatened the pharmacist with a box cutter ordering the employee to turn over Oxycontin.After obtaining the drugs he fled from the pharmacy, no one was injured.These types of crimes are extremely dangerous, not only during the commission of the crime but when these drugs are illegally distributed on the street as it is a narcotic.
Purdue Pharma/Rx Patrol is the pharmaceutical producer of Oxycontin.They have been an avid supporter of the Silent Witness Program and law enforcement throughout the nation.As with all cases involved the theft of Oxycontin from pharmacies, they have committed $1,000 to Silent Witness towards the reward for information leading to the arrest or indictment of the suspect in this case.Purdue Pharma is committed to ensuring the safety of our community by assisting us in these investigations.
