PHOENIX -- A teen has been indicted on 12 charges, including first-degree murder, in the death of an innocent victim killed during a gun battle.

According to the Phoenix Police Department, Arkeem Durant Coleman, 17, was firing a gun at rival gang members on March 23.
Gilbert Leon, 54, was driving near 16th Street and Elwood streets in South Phoenix and was caught in the crossfire.
Leon suffered a fatal bullet wound to the head.
Leon had recently retired from Central Arizona Project and had spent time in the military.
Police arrested Coleman on May 26.
He was indicted on one count of first-degree murder, four counts of attempted first-degree murder, one count of drive-by shooting, four counts of aggravated assault, one count of assisting a criminal street gang and one count of endangerment.
