Two suspects arrested for attempted robbery of a gun storePosted: Updated:
PRESCOTT - The following is a press release from the Prescott Police Department:
Last night at about 9:10 P.M. an observant Safeway employee called Prescott Police when he saw two suspicious subjects at the High Country Guns and Knives business located in the 500 block of White Spar Rd. When police arrived at the location they saw two subjects attempting to break into the rear door of the business.
Arrested were Prescott resident Sean Schubert, 20, and Phoenix resident Rene Velasquez, 25. Both subjects were wearing black gloves and had in possession hood masks and a duffle bag that contained a pry bar and other burglary tools. Prior to police arrival, they caused damage to the exterior door from attempting to kick it in.
Schubert and Velasquez were both transported to the Yavapai County Jail where they were charged with attempted burglary and possession of burglary tools. They are both being held without bond pending an initial court appearance.
