Whisenhunt says Cardinals are ahead of last yearPosted: Updated:
FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (AP) -- Arizona Cardinals workouts in Flagstaff conclude with a morning practice.
Coach Ken Whisenhunt says the team accomplished a lot and were consistent in practice from the standpoint of effort and intensity.
Wednesday marked the final session of two-a-days at Northern Arizona University. Players looked ahead to returning to families and sleeping in their own beds.
Cornerback Eric Green described his time in Flagstaff as the best camp he's attended.
Arizona features the NFL's top receiving tandem in Larry Fitzgerald and Anquan Boldin, along with four-time Pro Bowler Edgerrin James coming off a 1,222-yard rushing season.
Arizona is being mentioned for a possible playoff run.
The Cardinals also are leaving town in good health, an improvement over last year when injuries were a major story line.
