Peanut butter products recalled; 10 salmonella cases in AZPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX -- The federal government said the number of salmonella cases has increased to 485. Ten of those are in Arizona, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
The state Health Services Department says six of those who got sick were under the age of 20.
The FDA believes all of them ate peanut butter or peanut-based products that were made at a Georgia plant owned by Peanut Corp. of America.
Several companies have recalled products.
Consumers are asked to avoid all snacks that contain peanut butter and to throw out any recalled products.
