TUCSON -- An Ajo man has been indicted on charges including first-degree murder in the death of a 7-year-old girl who had gone to play with the suspect's younger brother.
Teen arrested in 7-yr-old girl's death - azfamily.com's Ed Tribble reports a 19-year-old man is under arrest in Ajo after a 7-year-old girl turned up dead in a wash.
A Pima County grand jury issued the indictment late Friday charging 19-year-old Loretto Kyle Alegria with the June 18 death of Rhia Almeida.
Alegria was charged with first-degree murder, kidnapping a minor under 15 and sexual conduct with a minor.
Authorities said two young girls riding bicycles found the child's body in a wash after she had gone to the Alegria residence to play with Alegria's younger brother but the boy was not home, nor were his parents.
Ajo is about 120 miles southwest of Tucson.
