SCOTTSDALE --Scottsdale could be following the lead of Phoenix and ban texting while driving.
The city's transportation commission was scheduled to meet Thursday evening to discuss the potential ban.
At previous meeting, commissioners have described texting while driving as "intolerable" and "unsafe."
Scottsdale police are expected to offer input during the meeting.
Residents are also encouraged to attend and offer their opinions.
The meeting begins at 6 p.m. at Scottsdale City Hall.
