Police: Same man robbed 3 banks in Chandler and MesaPosted: Updated:

CHANDLER - Chandler and Mesa Police believe the same suspect committed bank robberies on January 3rd, January 7th and January 12th, 2009 in Chandler and Mesa, Arizona.Chandler and Mesa Detectives are working together to capture the suspect.
The first robbery occurred on January 3, 2009 at 1:15 PM at the Chase Bank branch inside the Bashas grocery store, located at 1920 W. Chandler Blvd, Chandler, Arizona.The second robbery was on January 7, 2009 at 1:20 PM at the Desert Schools Federal Credit Union branch, located in the Fry's grocery store at 2010 S. Alma School Road, Chandler, Arizona.The third robbery was on January 12, 2009 at 6:51 PM at the Desert Schools Federal Credit Union branch, located inside the Wal-mart at 1955 S. Stapley Drive, Mesa, Arizona.
Detectives believe the cases are linked due to physical descriptions provided by witnesses as well as surveillance footage and methods used by the suspect.The suspect is described as a black male between 6 feet 1 inches tall and 6 feet 4 inches tall, medium-build, approximately 20 to 25 years old.Images were captured by video surveillance cameras inside the banks on January 3rd and January 7th.
