Toddler found floating in pool after family lost track of himPosted: Updated:
GLENDALE -- Glendale Fire crews responded to a near-drowning in the area of 57th and Olive avenues Thursday afternoon.
According to the Glendale Fire Department, the family of a 2-year-old boy lost track of him for up to five minutes. He was found floating face up in the pool.
A family member gave the toddler CPR until paramedics arrived.
Glendale Fire Deputy Chief Wayne Smith said when paramedics arrived, the boy was crying. However, he was pale, had blue lips and was in some distress.
The child was air-lifted to Phoenix Children's Hospital.
There was not a fence around the pool.
