Man believed to be serial bank robber strikes again in Tempe

Suspect has robbed up to 9 Valley banks

TEMPE - A man police believe may be a serial robber hit another bank in Tempe on Monday afternoon.

Police say the suspect robbed a Wachovia Bank near Warner and McClintock at around 12:30 p.m. Officers believe the suspect may be involved in at least 9 other robberies across the Valley.

The man responsible is described as a Hispanic male standing about 6'3" tall. He reportedly did not display a weapon during his latest hit but allegedly threatened force and was able to get away with an undisclosed amount of money.

It is also not clear how the suspect was able to flee the scene at this time.
