Police release sketches of Chandler home invasion suspects

The following is a news release from the Chandler Police Department.

Police need public's help

CHANDLER -- The Chandler Police Department is releasing composite sketches of the suspects involved with the home invasion on November 26, 2008, where a 50-year old Chandler resident was shot.

The Chandler Police Department would like the public to view the sketches and call should they have any information on the identity of those involved.

The suspects were described as Hispanic males, one approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall and the other 5 feet 8 inches tall. Both had medium builds and were last seen wearing grey hooded sweatshirts and blue jeans.

The Chandler Police Department is encouraging anyone with information about this investigation to call 480-782-4130.

The following news release was sent by the Chandler Police Dept.:

CHANDLER - On Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at 9:57 A.M., Chandler Police responded to a 911 call from a home in the 1600 East block of Baylor Lane reporting a home invasion.

Two male suspects forced open the front door of the home and were carrying handguns.Once inside, a scuffle occurred during which one of the suspects shot the father of the home.The father was taken to an area hospital for treatment and his injuries are not life threatening.

After shooting the father of the home, the suspects fled the area.The suspects were described as Hispanic males, between 25 and 30 years of age, both wearing a gray sweatshirt with a hood and blue jeans.One suspect was described as approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall and the other 5 feet 6 inches tall with a medium build, both had mustaches.

Do to the proximity of a local elementary school; the school was quickly put on lockdown for approximately 45 minutes.At this time, the case is under investigation and there is no known motive.
