PHOENIX - Phoenix police are investigating the homicide of a Alice Saunders, 40, who was found murdered in her home early Saturday morning.
Brother of suspect wondering why
Police believe Saunders and the suspect, Jerome Pringle, got into a verbal argument at the home near 72nd Avenue and Camelback Road which led Pringle to kill her.
Evidence has been recovered from the scene which led to the arrest of Pringle.
At the time the body was discovered police were searching for Pringle, who is the brother of the victim's boyfriend, as a person of interest. He had been staying in the home.
Pringle turned himself in to Tucson police late Saturday and made statements concerning the murder of Saunders.
Pringle was taken to the Maricopa County Jail and booked for first degree murder and motor vehicle theft.
