Napolitano serving on Obama transition boardPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX -- Arizona Gov. Janet Napolitano is helping advise President-elect Barack Obama's transition.
Napolitano is among 12 members of an advisory board to the transition team.
Obama's transition organization says the advisory board has been informally planning for a possible transition for the past several months.
Napolitano has said she has provided Obama's team with information about state fiscal matters, but she's also mentioned in speculation about possible Obama picks for Cabinet appointments.
Napolitano spokeswoman Jeanine L'Ecuyer says the governor has not been offered an appointment.
