Police seek suspects who stole beer from Circle K, cut clerkPosted: Updated:

AVONDALE -- Avondale police have released images of two suspects wanted in connection with a convenience store armed robbery on Nov. 3. Police say that around 7:30 p.m., the two suspects entered the Circle K Store at the corner of Van Buren Street and Central Avenue in Avondale and proceeded to remove beer from a beer display. The store clerk told police he was attempting to stop them from leaving the store when one of the suspects pulled out a box cutter knife and cut him on the finger. Both suspects then fled on foot, and were last seen running eastbound on Van Buren Street towards an apartment complex. The clerk was treated at a local hospital for his injury.
"We are asking for the public's help in solving this crime," said Avondale Sgt. Todd Love.
Suspect #1 is described as a male in his early 20s, possibly Hispanic, approximately 6 feet tall. He was wearing a grey hooded jacket/sweatshirt. Suspect #2 is described as a male, short, and possibly Hispanic.
