Man shot several times in early morning home invasionPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX -- Detectives have little to go on in an early morning home invasion and shooting that landed a Valley man in the hospital Thursday.
It happened just after 3 a.m. near 31st and Southern avenues.
According to police, an African American man told them he was home alone when several Hispanic men busted into his house.
Bullets flew and the man was hit several times. He was rushed to the hospital.
While the victim was able to talk to the police, he didn't give them much.
"The information that he provided was minimal," said Lt. David Moore of the Phoenix Police Department.
It's not known if anything was stolen from the man's house.
Police are still trying to piece together exactly what happened and are looking for the suspects.
