Televisions stolen from resort rooms under constructionPosted: Updated:
OAK CREEK - The following is a press release from the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office:
On July 8, 2009, at approximately 9 A.M., Yavapai County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a reported burglary at "The Ridge Golf Resort," 55 Sun Ridge Circle, Village of Oak Creek. Employees explained that 9 "Sharp" brand plasma televisions had been stolen from rooms within the resort. The rooms targeted are currently under renovation. The televisions were all new, in their original box, and included 3 of each of the following sizes - 26", 32" and 42". The total value of the stolen televisions well exceeds $8,000.
Employees have concluded that the thefts occurred between 12 noon on July 6th, and the morning of July 8th. Further details as to the probable method of theft, or the loss of any additional stolen property, were not available at the time of this media release. This information will be updated as soon as available.
YCSO is urging anyone with information regarding these thefts, or has knowledge of person(s) selling such property, to contact the Sheriff's Office at 928-771-3260. Information may also be reported anonymously to Yavapai Silent Witness at 1800-932-3232. If the information leads to an arrest in this case, the caller will become eligible for a cash reward.
