"9-1-1 told us to wait in the car" Emmit recalled as he sat next to his wife in the SUV.

Power crews worked to kill the electricity to live power lines that had fallen on asmany as 5 vehicles along Southern. No injuries were reported from the incident.

SRP reports that up to 4,300 customers lost power due to the incident.

Southern road between Recker and Power is closed. SRP estimates that repairs will take at least 24 hours and the road may be closed for days while they work on the downed power lines and power poles.
