Sex offender who posed as 12-year-old likely jailboundPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX -- An adult sex offender who posed as a 12-year-old boy while enrolling in Valley charter schools says he is guilty.
Neil Havens Rodreick pleaded guilty Wednesday to seven charges, including four count of sexual exploitation of a minor. Those charges stemmed from child pornography found on his computer.
Investigators do not believe Rodreick, 30, sexually abused any children while he was at the schools. They think he simply made friends with them.
Rodreick's scheme went on for about two years. He was discovered last January.
The plea deal means Rodreick will serve at least 70 years in prison. He will be sentenced later this month.
