Cardinals granted 24-hour extension on blackout deadlinePosted: Updated:
TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) -- The Arizona Cardinals say they've been granted a 24-hour extension on the TV blackout deadline.
League rules require teams to sell out games 72 hours prior to kickoff in order to have the games aired on live television in their home markets.
The deadline for Sunday's game between the Cardinals and MIami at University of Phoenix Stadium was 1:15 p.m. today. The Cards asked for an extension and the NFL agreed, pushing back the deadline until 1:15 p.m. tomorrow.
