Widow in smoke shop killing speaks about husband's murder

CHANDLER -- Several months after the murder of her husband, widow Jennifer Foote sits down with 3TV's Mike Watkiss to discuss how she is dealing with the loss.

The discussion is spurred by a National Day of Rememberance for murder victims. Jennifer pleaded to the public days after her husband was shot to help find the killer.

Now police have a suspect in custody - Cesar Bruis, who allegedly committed to the crime during a confrontational phone call.


CHANDLER, AZ - On February 9, 2008, at approximately 9 pm, police responded to the "Smoke N Stuff" located at 411 South Arizona Avenue after receiving a report of a man down inside the store. Officers found the store clerk on the floor suffering from a single gunshot wound. The store clerk, identified as 26-year-old Shawn Michael Foote, was transported to a local hospital where he later died.

A witness described a dark colored grey or silver 1990's Ford Crown Victoria or Mercury Grand Marquis leaving the area driven by a male. The subject is described as 5'10" to 6' 00" tall, weighing between 160 and 180 pounds with dark curly hair. He was last seen wearing a dark colored baseball cap, dark colored jeans and a dark or maroon colored sweatshirt.
