Police: Teen held for ransom, bound and beaten for a weekPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX - A teenaged boy who had been kidnapped was successfully rescued by police.
According to authorities, the 16-year-old victim was kidnapped on Friday before ransom demands were made.
Police say that they found the teen wrapped in duct tape and inside a closet.
The boy was bound so tightly that the circulation had been cut to his hands and feet.
The boy also says he was frequently beaten during his captivity.
The suspects allegedly asked the family for $100,000 in exchange for the boy.
Phoenix Police were able to identify where the victim was being held on Tuesday evening and officers were able to rescue the teen and arrested 6 suspects in this case. The victim was reportedly rescued from the 11200 block of W. Campbell.
