Suns' Barbosa injures kneePosted: Updated:
PHOENIX (AP) -- Phoenix guard Leandro Barbosa injured his left knee Wednesday night during the first quarter of the Suns' game against the Philadelphia 76ers.
Barbosa left the game with 26.3 seconds to go in the opening period because of what was diagnosed as a hyperextended left knee. He was injured on a drive to the basket.
The Suns said the Brazilian star wouldn't return for the remainder of the game and listed his playing status as day-to-day. Barbosa is averaging 14.5 points.
