Police look for suspects who robbed Safeway Fuel Center

SURPRISE -- The Surprise Police Department is searching for two males who robbed a Safeway Fuel Center.

According to police, two males robbed the Safeway Fuel Center near Waddell and Litchfield roads Monday about 5:42 p.m.

Both suspects were described as Hispanic, of average height and medium build.

One was wearing a dark-colored hat with a gold emblem across the front, an orange short-sleeved T-shirt and blue jeans.

The second was wearing a blue hat with white lettering, a red short-sleeved shirt and blue jeans.

During the robbery, police say one of the suspects displayed a handgun and demanded money from the clerk. An undisclosed amount of cash was taken.

The suspects fled in a white passenger vehicle in an unknown direction.

No one was injured during the incident.

The suspects are still outstanding and are being sought by police officials.
